We welcome Recent Graduate Veterinarians, Veterinary Students, and their friends and family.  You don’t need to be an SCVMA member to attend!!

Speaker: Dr. Patrick Mahaney

Bio: Dr. Patrick Mahaney is a veterinarian (VMD), certified veterinary acupuncturist (CVA), and certified veterinary journalist (CVJ). Practicing as a veterinarian since 1999 when he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

In addition to Western (conventional) veterinary practice, he offers acupuncture and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and haa been doing so since 2006 upon completing his training with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society(IVAS).

In order to serve the needs of his clients and patients on a personal basis he founded California Pet Acupuncture and Wellness (CPAW), Inc., in 2008, which has evolved into Los Angeles’ premier concierge, house-call veterinary practice.

As he is compelled to practice what he preaches, in his personal life he is a healthy lifestyle advocate with focus on weight management, whole food diets, nutraceuticals, yoga, running, weight lifting, hiking, cycling, and more. He’s also an avid plant rescuer and propagator at his home in West Hollywood, CA and an enthusiast of various music genres, art, and travel (when time and patient care permits).
