Dr. Peter Vogel, VMD, DACVS

Bio:

Peter Vogel, VMD, DACVS graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.  He completed a Small Animal Surgical internship at the California Animal Hospital and a Small Animal Surgical residency at the University of California, Davis.

Dr. Vogel was the founding and senior partner of The Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital, a large multidisciplinary referral hospital, located in Irvine, CA  Dr. Vogel then became the co-medical director for VCA West Coast Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital in Fountain Valley, CA.  Dr. Vogel is the founder of The Animal Orthopedic Center in Anaheim, CA.

Dr. Vogel is the past President of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association and is currently a Governor for the California Veterinary Medical Association, representing Los Angeles and Orange County, CA.  He also is a recipient of the Dan Mahan Award for Excellence in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Vogel is a board certified veterinary surgeon, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and has almost 30 years of experience in clinical practice, as well as teaching veterinary students and training interns and residents.

Dr. Vogel lectures extensively in Southern California, as well as elsewhere in the US and has spoken at several world veterinary conferences in China, South Korea, and Mexico.
