- This lecture provides information about nutrients and energy requirements, reading and interpreting pet food labels and nutritional profiles, and the nutritional management of healthy and sick pets with an emphasis on how it pertains to the formulation of OTC and therapeutic pet foods.

Speaker – Dr. Amber Cohn
Bio:
Dr. Amber Cohn is a native of Southern California. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona, and went on to receive her DVM degree from Cornell University. After graduation, she pursued a rotating small animal internship at VSH in San Diego, then worked for several years as an emergency veterinarian in Culver City, followed by various general practices in the Los Angeles area. She joined the team at Blue Buffalo in 2016, where she works directly with the R&D, marketing, and technical services veterinary teams to provide technical knowledge both internally and externally. Dr. Cohn’s professional interests include nutrition, emergency/critical care, internal medicine, and cardiology. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, yoga, and loves trying new food/restaurants.
