BIO summary: I graduated from Iowa State Veterinary School in 2010. Completed my rotating internship at VCA California Animal Hospital and went on to pursue a neurology residency at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Florida. Being a native of California, I was very excited to return to VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. While I do enjoy all aspects of neurology, my main interest lies in neurosurgery particularly diseases of the spine. 

Topic objective: Epilepsy (don’t have a good title yet ha) – it’ll be pretty straightforward and broad. There hasn’t been that much new stuff on epilepsy.

Brief discussion of the pathophysiology behind seizures; discuss the different causes for seizures, as well as different medication options; I will probably briefly touch upon the hot topic of CBD/THC.
