Speaker: Dr. Nikki Gaudette, DVM, Veterinarian Specialist – Practice Limited to Cardiology

Bio: Dr. Nikki Gaudette’s passion for veterinary medicine stems from the human-animal bond, the love and trust that we get to share with our furry family members. She focuses her work on positive communication between human companions, their family veterinarians, fellow specialist colleagues, and emergency facilities that may be involved in a patient’s care. Dr. Gaudette brings a breadth of expertise and experience in diagnosing and treating pets with cardiac conditions, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care. With a compassionate approach and cutting-edge technology, she manages and treats a wide range of cardiovascular diseases, performing everything from routine screenings to complex interventions.
Growing up in Southern California, Dr. Gaudette started working in the veterinary field during high school and graduated from California State University, Long Beach, in 2007, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015, receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gaudette then went on for additional advanced training by completing an internship at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists with a focus on Cardiology, Surgery, and Small Animal Medicine. Following her internship, Dr. Gaudette completed her American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Cardiology Residency, where she underwent three years of advanced training in medical and interventional veterinary cardiology. After residency completion and credential acceptance, she continued to work in the Northeast for an additional three years, opening the Cardiology Department at Newtown Veterinary Specialists.
Now, Dr. Gaudette has returned to Southern California to join the Coast to Coast Cardiology team of Veterinary Cardiologists. Dr. Gaudette’s special interests include complex congenital heart diseases, interventional cardiology, and medical management of both congestive heart failure and complex arrhythmias.

In her spare time, she enjoys long-distance running, surfing, snowboarding, and spending time with her two lovely rescue dogs, Stella and Murphy.
