Speaker Dr. Brook Niemiec will be presenting “Surviving the Dental Operatory as a Relief (or Associate) Vet, it’s a Jungle out There!” This will be a fun CE opportunity and you’ll be able to earn 1 CE Credit by attending. Objectives:
Oral pathology: This lecture will cover the most common oral pathologies, their pathogenesis diagnosis and treatment. Topics include fractured teeth maloclusions retained deciduous teeth tooth resorption and stomatitis.
Periodontal disease and treatment. Verdell disease is the number one problem and spinal pets and has numerous significant consequences.. Come learn the latest in pathogenesis diagnostic options and treatment modalities
Dr. Brook Niemiec, DVM, DAVDC, DEVCD, FAVD
Dr. Niemiec is a 1994 graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Niemiec is a Board Certified Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry at both the American and European Veterinary Dental Colleges. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. He is one of fewer than 10 veterinarians worldwide to hold all three of these certificates. In addition, he is the Past President of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry as well as the AVD representative to the World Small Animal Association. He is also the chair of the WSAVA dental guidelines committee which developed minimal standards for dentistry worldwide. Based on all these accomplishments, he is recognized as one of the leading authorities in veterinary dentistry.
In addition to his advanced dental training, Dr. Niemiec received extensive post-graduate training in the field of anesthesia, which helps to ensure the safety of pets in our care.
