Summary:  Join us for this overview/review of the components of Feline Atopic Syndrome (FAS), including changes to nomenclature. Dr. Boynosky will go through a stepwise approach using case based scenarios to work through the diagnosis and treatment and management of Feline Atopic Syndrome, with some pearls along the way to help with client communication and compliance.

 

Speaker:  Nicole Boynosky, MS, BVMS, DACVD

Bio: Dr. Boynosky is originally from northeast Pennsylvania, where she obtained a Masters degree in laboratory animal science from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She crossed the Atlantic and lived in Scotland for 5 years, graduating with distinguished honors from the University of Glasgow in 2007. Dr. Boynosky practiced general medicine in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, then moved to Southern California where she completed a specialty internship in veterinary dermatology. A three-year dermatology residency followed at Veterinary Specialty Hospital San Diego; she then achieved Diplomate status in 2016. She is interested in all aspects of dermatology, but has special interests in immune mediated disease, cutaneous manifestations of internal disease, and dermatopathology. Dr. Boynosky has several publications and enjoys teaching staff, students, and other veterinarians about dermatology. When she is not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her long legged Chihuahua-Poodle mix named Bean, her Sphinx named Sir Cutis Skinfred Von Wrinkles, Leopold the Chinese Crested, and her newest addition, Hamish, the Pit Bull.
