Speakers: Shannon Minninger, DVM & Jon Detweiler

Bio: Dr. Sharon Minninger is a small animal veterinarian practicing in southeastern Pennsylvania. Dr. Minninger founded and owns Telford Veterinary Hospital; additionally, she provides operational veterinary oversight as the Team Veterinarian for a regional K9 Search and Rescue team and serves as a partner/consultant with Veterinary Business Builders. She has spoken nationally on a variety of veterinary topics, serves on numerous veterinary advisory boards and consults industry partners on best practices with a focus on emerging medicine and technologies. Dr. Minninger obtained her undergraduate degree from Delaware Valley University and completed veterinary school at University of Tennessee (go Volunteers!). She has spent over a decade volunteering with therapy dogs in the local special needs community where her therapy “dingo” named Heidi, and has reached local celebrity status after having a children’s book written about her therapy work. When she is not in practice, she enjoys gardening, hiking outdoors and traveling with her husband as well as their two Belgian Tervurens

Jon Detweiler Bio: Jon Detweiler is a veterinary hospital administrator and leadership consultant in southeastern Pennsylvania. Jon owns the Telford Veterinary Hospital and serves as a partner/consultant with Veterinary Business Builders. He is a dynamic speaker who presents at various national events and has authored a variety of management focused articles for veterinary journals and publications. Jon has focused on process building/efficiency, leadership development and employee performance across several industries including veterinary, public safety, emergency preparedness and mass event management. His undergraduate degree is in Emergency Management from Hahnemann University, and he has completed executive certificate work through Cornell University with a focus on Change Management/Executive Leadership. Though Jon’s focus has become veterinary operations, he is a Nationally Certified Paramedic who served the community as a MedEvac Flight Paramedic and a Medical Commander for a regional SWAT team. He is a proud “Terv” dad and he enjoys cooking, hunting and traveling with his wife.
