In this presentation, Dr. Tom Lewis will discuss the latest innovations in veterinary dermatology and share the secrets to achieving Zen with your clients and canine atopic dermatitis patients.

Speaker: Dr. Tom Lewis, DVM, DACVD

Bio: Dr. Lewis attended Colorado State University, earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He worked at Mesa Veterinary Hospital for two years before starting his residency in dermatology. In 1991, Dr. Lewis finished his residency and achieved his diplomate certification from the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. In 1991, Dr. Lewis founded the Dermatology Clinic for Animals (later Dermatology for Animals) with offices in Mesa and Tucson, Ariz., as well as in Albuquerque, NM. Within three years, clinics were added in Utah, Texas, and Nebraska.

Dr. Lewis’ interests include investigating the role of allergies and their effects on the skin. Dr. Lewis has written journal articles and supported research on a number of projects during his career. He speaks nationally on dermatology at veterinary conferences and events.
