Dr. Birgette Tan, DVM, ACVIM (Oncology), Certified Grief Specialists, Certified Trauma Response Practitoner, Certified LifeMastery Consultant

“Creating the Best out of the Worst Diagnosis”

Presentation Description: A cancer diagnosis is neither pleasant to receive nor to deliver. This presentation will discuss
how a cancer diagnosis affects the family and the clinician delivering the diagnosis. It will help
the veterinary team deliver this dreaded news in ways that allow more ease to all involved and
improve client compliance. We will also provide tools on being a caregiver that the clinicians
can share with the pet’s family.

Bio: Your patients and clients deserve to thrive, even in the face of dire diagnoses. Dr. Birgitte Tan
has helped thousands of pets do better than statistics, and their parents have more compliance
and ease. Her knowledge and experience as a certified grief specialist and veterinarian oncologist
allow her to have an impeccable bedside manner and a team who loves her despite the time and
resource constraints. Dr. Tan looks forward to helping you gain the skills to create the best
possible outcome for your patients and clients while also having more time and ease for you and
your team.
