 Allyne Moon, RVT, CCFP- Dermatology Overview

Allyne Moon received her LVT license from the State of Alaska in 2003, her Californian RVT license in 2004, is an Expert Witness for the State of California, and is a former VMB Hospital Inspector.  As a result of a continued interest in improving the veterinary community, she lectures nationally and locally on a variety of subjects including:  veterinary forensics, shelter medicine, radiation safety, and wellness.  Allyne’s love for animals led her to work for an open-admission municipal animal shelter in Southern California for 8 years. She now works as Membership Secretary at the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association in Cypress, CA.  In her “spare time,” Allyne provides consulting and staff training services and volunteers at veterinary free clinics run by Downtown Dog Rescue (South Central LA) and Amanda Foundation (Watts).  She is heavily involved in veterinary professional organizations- including the Animal Health Foundation, Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, California Registered Veterinary Technicians Association, and is the first non-DVM to be appointed to the SCVMA Board of Trustees.   

 

Fove’ Hardy, RVT- Zoonotic Skin Disease

Seasoned Veterinary Technician, with 28 years in veterinary medicine.
including specialty medicine and featured/published in the “Pulse Magazine” in 11/2020 & 4/2022. Registered since, 2001 with 10 years of managerial experience and 7 years of teaching in academia. As a seasoned Veterinary Technician, I will bring not only leadership but, knowledge, professionalism, and quality work to any organization.

 

 

Sarah Kolb, BAS, CVT, LAT, VTS (CP- exotic companion animals)- Beak and Feather Diseases

After obtaining her Bachelor of Applied Science in Veterinary Nursing from St. Petersburg College in 2018, Sarah earned the Veterinary Technician Specialty (Exotic Companion Animals) in 2015. She currently works at ISU Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center, Ames, Iowa. She is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Central Iowa Veterinary Technician Association, and International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She also serves on the Association of Avian Veterinarians Technician Committee. Sarah has had numerous articles published and she has lectured extensively on exotic animal topics. She has fostered birds for the Des Moines Animal Rescue League since 2014. Her interests include avian anatomy, physiology, behavior and enrichment; wildlife rehabilitation; and anesthesia.

Yvonne Brandenberg, RVT, VTS (Internal Medicine- Small Animal)- Hepatocutaneous Syndrome

Yvonne Brandenburg, RVT, VTS (SAIM), is a veterinary technician with over 17 years of experience in the field, and obtained her specialty credentials in small animal internal medicine in 2016. Yvonne has spoken at national and international veterinary conferences on a variety of subjects.

Yvonne founded Internal Medicine For Pet Parents in 2018, and is a co-author of a non-fiction series geared toward pet owners to understand complicated veterinary diseases. The first published work in the series is the “Pet Health Journal: A 6 Month Journal for Medications, Exams, & Healthy Living” in 2019, followed by “Canine & Feline Seizure Journal: A Log to Track Seizures, Medications, & Vet Visits For Your Dog or Cat” in 2020.

Yvonne is a proud member of California Writers Club Tri-Valley Branch, 20Booksto50k, Nonfiction Authors Association, and The Alliance of Independent Authors. She continues to work on her craft and elevate independent publishers. A rising tide lifts all ships.

Erica Brandt, CVT, VTS (ECC)- Pathophysiology of Wound Healing/Wound Care for Technicians

Erica is the Clinical Manager of Surgery and Anesthesia at WestVet in Boise Idaho. Erica passed her VTS exam in 2009 to become one of the first VTS (ECC) in Idaho. She served as the president of the Idaho Society of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants for ten years. She is passionate about emergency medicine, anesthesia, surgery, feline medicine, and the profession of Veterinary Technology in general. When not helping pets, teaching, or mentoring her amazing team, she enjoys anything outdoors with her husband Curtis and her two children Sean and Alexandra.
