Bio: Dr. Yazdan Aryazand (or Dr. Yaz, as he’s known) is a foreign graduate, having obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Iran prior to moving to the United States. Dr. Yaz completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Cornell University, where he spent a year doing research. He subsequently published an article on infection rate of TPLO in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA).
Dr. Yaz completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island in New York, followed by a specialty surgery internship at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in Texas. He completed a surgical residency at VCA West LA Animal Hospital, after which he joined the VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley team in Woodland Hills, California.
